First little tidbit, Use cold blooded. With all the air support you don't want your killstreak to be cut short.

Enemy tactics.  Your game should be planned around how good or bad the enemy team is.  If they are rushing a lot with classes that have Marathon or guns that can kill in a few shots (Shotguns, FAL, Commando runners), then sit back a bit and let the enemy come to you, you'll usually see them first and have a better chance at living.  If the other team is sitting back letting you come to them, throw them through a loop and toss smokes in places that you're sure they're camping or where you assume they will be.  Most of the time, the smoke will let you run right into their spawn and snag a few kills thanks to them not expecting you to be there.  If the kids are bad its you're call to be aggressive or defensive, because all it takes is that one lucky shot to end yo killstreak.
