I was like a lot of people when I started playing modern warfare 2, I was overwhelmed by the speed of the game. Here are a few tricks I found to help you catch up.

Tip #1 Sprint in silence! The unlimited sprint perk in modern warfare 2 will help you a lot. Its amazing how much of the game is played chasing people. The sprint combined with the silent footsteps is a deadly combo, If you haven't tried it I suggest you do and I guarantee you will be shocked at how many people you sneak up on! You will also find yourself being more aware of what is going on around you. Getting a knife in the back on you wont be nearly as easy. I cant stress this enough about modern warfare 2 USE YOUR EARS! This will lead to a better kill death ratio and more wins!

Tip #2 Use a SMG. Again with the speed. In modern warfare 2 having a big gun is nice, but it does nothing if you cant catch up to people. being that so much of the game is played from behind, I prefer the UMP with a red dot.

Tip #3 Be the first to pull the trigger. Don't wait for a better look to take the shot. In Modern Warfare 2 chances are that second look wont come. Either you will be killed, or by the time you're in a better position, your target will be killed or long gone. If you have a half decent shot, TAKE IT! Shoot through walls, cars, doors, everything. You will be surprised! Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is a lot more fun when you win.

Tip #4 DONT CAMP! Its true, You can get some kills while camping and maybe even die a few less times. But you need to move! In Modern Warfare 2 all that time you spend sitting there is time that could have been spent chasing people. Being a skilled sniper is one thing, but if you are simply sitting in a dark corner waiting for people to pass, you will not be successful. First of all, people with UAV's and Heartbeat sensors will have a feild day with you and find you time after time. Second, you will become a target! If you kill someone, Its not that hard for them to respawn and find you sitting there like a duck in the same place! Before you know it the time will be running low and you will be 10 kills down without a chance to catch up. Get into the action!
