Go on alone. In bigger groups you are more likely to get killed by ambush. Or if you have cold blooded and your teamates don't a predator missle or UAV can stop you dead in your tracks.

I dont stay in the middle of a group but i found you can get quite a few kills if you let the enemy give up their position and use up their ammo killing the few idiots that lead the pack rushing in.
I like to go off on my own and try and get behind the enemy and pick off who i can if i get crowded i will try and sneak away but that does not always work but when it does you will find yourself getting some high kill-streaks.
